As our workspaces continue to evolve, businesses are looking for innovative solutions that meet their needs. We offer a range of workspace options, and interior designers play a critical role in designing these spaces to meet the needs of modern businesses. We recently sat down with our interior designer Margarida Vieira who designs our spaces to learn more about what goes into creating a space that is both functional and inspiring.

Margarida Vieira is an Interior Designer. Her passion lies in designing international projects for workplaces, education, and hospitality, with a strong emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and well-being. She worked with global firms and her experience in liaising between teams across regions has given her great relationship-building skills. Margarida works since 2019 with FlexOffice.

How do you plan functionality in the interior design?

I understand the importance of functionality in interior design. A well-designed workspace should not only look great, but also support the activities that take place within it. I take a multi-faceted approach to my design process, finding a good balance between space planning, ergonomics, well-being, traffic flow, biophilia, sustainability, technology, branding, and culture. My focus is on promoting comfort and productivity, always keeping in mind the needs of the people who will be using the space.

What inspires you about a location? Prime Tower for example.

I find inspiration in the location of each FlexOffice site, as it is an integral part of the interior design concept. The architecture of the building, the history and culture of the area, and the users of the space all play a role in the design process. The Prime Tower location is a particularly unique and special one, with natural lighting and a breathtaking view of one of the most active areas of Zurich. I have created a comfortable, functional, and fluid workplace that enhances the original materiality, location, and view of the building. FlexOffice Prime Tower even has a Club area that invites all members to feel welcome.

What do you think are the key factors in making people feel comfortable in a workplace?

Our Team is committed to delivering exceptional spaces, with a focus on lighting, ergonomics, functionality, texture, finishes, color palette, and furniture shape. We strive to create a space where everyone feels a sense of belonging and pride, appealing to all the senses from the smell of coffee to a curated playlist. My goal is that your workspace will be designed with exceptional attention to detail, strategy, and innovation, pushing the boundaries on well-being and sustainability.

Describe FlexOffice in three words.

friendly, agile, and inspirational.
